Vietnamese artist achieves silver medal in international manga awards

Nachi’s work has stood out among 587 other artists from around the world, even though it’s just a one-shot comic. Inspired by her passion for astronomy, the story revolves around the daily lives of celestial bodies such as the Sun, Earth, Moon, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter. These celestial bodies work together to protect and sustain life on Earth. “I enjoy learning about astronomy, but I’m not very good at math, so my dream of working for NASA is nearly impossible. That’s why I try to tell stories about this topic from my own perspective and imagination,” she said. Through meticulous illustrations and giving planets and stars human-like qualities, Nachi hopes to bring astronomy closer to people in a simpler way.
