Phu Yen province administers the northern part of the island, while the southern part is administered by another province. Traveling along National Highway 1 across Ca Pass in the south-central region, tourists can easily see Hon Nua Island, located nearly one nautical mile away from the shore. The small island is approximately 35 kilometers south of Tuy Hoa City, the heart of Phu Yen Province.
