Vietnam pavilion attracts visitors at Mediterranean Tourism Exchange

This is the first time that the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy participated in the BTM, one of the largest annual tourism events in the European country, which attracts more than 10,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors from 26 countries.

Visitors showed great interest in Vietnam’s rich cultural heritages and diverse tourism services.

This year, Vietnam and Italy are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their bilateral ties (March 23, 1973-2023) and 10 years of strategic partnership (January 2013-2023).

Through the past 50 years, the relationship between Vietnam and Italy have been marked with cultural and economic developments.

Vietnam considers issuing e-visas to citizens of all countries and territories

The Government of Vietnam is seeking approval from the National Assembly to issue electronic visas to citizens of all countries and territories. Under the upgrade, AANZFTA will include additional commitments on services and investment that will benefit exporters and investors. It will also strengthen supply chain resilience and digital technology adoption. The agreement will also include key commitments on sustainable and inclusive trade, facilitating enhanced cooperation on environmental protection, green economy, labor issues, and women’s economic empowerment. According to ASEAN Secretariat News, economic ministers from the four ASEAN member states, namely Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, together with their counterparts from Australia and New Zealand, signed the 2nd Protocol, which upgrades the original AANZFTA Agreement which entered into force on January 1, 2010.
