‘India and Russia Forge Ahead with the Chennai-Vladivostok Eastern Maritime Corridor’

“Two years ago, the historic first commercial consignment traversed the North-South Transport Corridor, connecting our nations. Now, we’re also collaborating on the Chennai-Vladivostok Eastern Maritime Corridor. Through the Ganga-Volga dialogue and our shared cultural heritage, India and Russia are rediscovering each other.”

Recounting his 2015 visit to Russia, the Prime Minister remarked, “I had asserted that the 21st century would witness India’s success and development. Today, the entire world believes in India’s potential and is witnessing its remarkable growth.”

“During my visit to Russia in 2015, I had proclaimed that the 21st century belongs to India. Today, experts and luminaries across fields unanimously agree that India is advancing at an impressive pace,” he added.

According to the Prime Minister, India, as a ‘Vishwa Bandhu’ or ‘friend to the world’, is instilling newfound confidence in the global community.

“India’s burgeoning capabilities have instilled hope for stability and prosperity worldwide. India is recognized as a formidable pillar of the emerging multipolar world order,” he asserted.

Highlighting India’s proactive role in times of crisis, the Prime Minister stated, “Whenever a nation faces adversity, India is always among the first to extend a helping hand.”

“When India advocates for peace, dialogue, and diplomacy, the international community listens. In times of global crisis, India is consistently among the first responders,” he added.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra, and India’s Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, accompanied Prime Minister Modi at the event.
